A Conceal Carry Permit is more than just a card in your wallet - it’s a commitment to responsibility, sound judgement, and continuous learning. High Plains Defense delivers training where you will gain a practical understanding of firearms safety, Colorado law, conflict avoidance, and the skills you need to carry with confidence.

As of 2024, all Colorado concealed carry permit applicants must attend an 8-hour refresher class, pass a written test with a minimum score of 80%, and pass a 50-round live-fire exercise with a minimum of 70%. Each student will have two attempts to pass both the written exam and live-fire exercise. You will also receive a copy of Concealed Carry & Home Defense, which contains the safety and home-defense information discussed in-class.

Required: Valid concealed handgun permit, ear protection, eye protection, an unloaded handgun, 100 rounds of ammunition, notetaking material.

Payment is required prior to the start of the class to reserve your seat and does not guarantee passing the class. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a certificate to turn in with your renewal application.
